Dino Manzoni is a research assistant at the Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Sociomedical Institute. He Acquired a Master’s Degree in Psychology. In his M. A. thesis, he researched the phenomenological conceptualization of affects with special regard to moods and emotions. He is currently working on his dissertation project in which he will try to present the genealogy of (erotic) love in the West and formulate and analyze immanent contradictions, aporias that are constitutive of the very idea of love. In his Ph.D. thesis – in connection with the problem of love – through the optics of the psychoanalytic conceptual apparatus, deals with the analysis of phenomena such as: transference, narcissism, depression, anxiety, jealousy, trauma.
